Yes the minimum rental term. For the study and studio cabins the minimum term is 3 months.
For our self contained cabins (The Bachelor & The Cottage) have a minimum term of 6 months.
Once your rental term is up, you can call us to arrange collection of the cabin, or you can extend your rental term for as long as you require.
The cabins are not furnished. Although we can add in a TV, Washing machine and/or Fridge. These start at $5 per week (additional to the weekly rent)
NZ Cabin Rentals requires a cleaning bond of $500 on each cabin.
We also require a non-refundable booking fee to be paid of $200. This fee covers the credit check, processing of your application, and the site visit.
You can pay your rent weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Whatever is most suitable for you. We do require rent to always been paid at least one week in advance at all times. This will be outlined in your Rental Contract.
We price up the delivery (and pick up/return fee) based on your location and ease of access to the site. We can arrange a site visit to check your site for you.
At NZ Cabin Rentals, we like to keep things easy for you, so our delivery price includes delivery to your address, connection of supplied services, levelling of the cabin, disconnection, and removal at the end of the term.
Either at the end of your rental term or when you need to return the cabin, we ask that you please contact us (ring or email) to notify when you would like to have the cabin collected. A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required and from that date we will book in the collection of the cabin.
To power your rental cabin, you will need to be within 30m of an existing power source, we will supply the power lead at the length you require.
From there you can power the cabin with either a standard 3 pin plug for our smaller cabins, or a 16amp caravan connection is recommended for our larger self contained cabins.
You will need a water supply to the property (either town supply, or tank water) which we will connect to the cabin for you.
We can also look at setting you up with an entry level water pump if needed.
There are a few things you can do on your behalf to make the delivery run smoothly.
We will arrange a site visit prior to delivery and talk you through what is needed for your delivery & set up.
You will need to ensure that the site is clear of any objects or things that could make the delivery difficult.
Please see the following guidelines:
Height – We will need a 3.5m height clearance from trees, power lines, or anything above that may damage the cabin or affect entrance etc.
Width – The entry access should 3.2m wide
Foundation – You can have the area levelled or set up ready to place the cabin in the requested position.
You will also need to provide 2 x 9kg gas bottles (for the gas Califont Hot Water System)
We use a macerating toilet pump system. This pumps takes all waste from the unit and disperses it through a pipe that will be connected to your existing services. (This is all the waste from the kitcken sink, vanity, shower and toilet)
